Us mums deserve to smell good?
I am a mummy to four little darlings… 3 of which are teenagers, two of them tower over me but hey.. they will always be my little ones.
I am a busy mummy playing taxi driver, washing muddy kit, making sure they all eat oh and getting them up for school. Pretty much every mums duties really!!
I am a mummy and I would have it no other way, even if I say different at times. Which of course I do, I will hold my hands up to that. I am only human and my children can drive me up the wall like any other child.
Being a mum you always put the children first so me time is not always something that is possible. Your always told to make time for you…its important to have time out…sleep when the baby sleeps…make sure you get 5 minutes. However this is easier said then done! Being a mum and having 5 minutes is that rare that when you do have it, you feel like you have won the lottery. Quite literally! Sometimes the simple things like having a shower or going to the toilet in peace are sometimes impossible as the children will always find you guaranteed.
During the week doing the school run even with teenagers and a 10 year old things are a rush…I would love to say they get easier but they really don’t. The school run consists of getting two teenagers up and out their pit.. one is not to bad but the other one is a different story. I then have a 10 year old who more often then not will get up ok but takes a lot of prompting when eventually up and occasionally some bribing to get his back side into gear.
I remember the days when I used to be able to get all my children up.. make myself look and smell half decent and even hoover, put washing on and tidy up downstairs before I stepped outside for the school run. These days are slightly different, I do manage to look half decent.. I think.. but that’s probably about as far as it goes these days and as for the weekends well! Make up is none existent and its usually lounge wear and the only smell being from my fabric softener and my deodorant oh and the smell of cleaning products. Once upon a time I would never leave the house without makeup or perfume. Then something happened!! my children grew up!
One of the other joys of being a mum is that your pennies go on obviously the children. So gone are the days you have a branded perfume such as Armani, Ghost, Chloe, which used to be my favourite growing up. My teenage children smell better then me, which is saying something.. they are teenagers! Teenagers don’t always smell pretty. Just like their rooms!!
I think the last perfume I had was a few years ago and was actually a gift from my mum. The nice perfume I do have I tend to keep for best as its to expensive to wear whilst doing the house work and running around after children. Well that was up until a few months ago when I found Donna from The Fragrance Mum, her fragrances are amazing and at such an affordable price.
Donna is a mummy who loves to help other ladies feel good about themselves and find solutions for their needs. She can assist you in not only smelling good but in skincare, beauty, health wellness and the glorious housework. I’ve been lucky to sample some of her fragrances and I’m really impressed, I will be going back for more that’s a promise.
So, what is it that makes these fragrances so special compared to others? Apart from how good they smell.. They contain pure perfume oil. Are more affordable to us mums because they don’t come in fancy packaging with fancy bottles and instead of fancy names, they are numbered which I personally think make them look much more expensive.
Many of the fragrances are very similar to the designer fragrances like Chloe, Ghost and obviously others.. they are not copies or replicas though. The fragrance oil used is sourced from the same factory that a lot of designer perfumes also get their oils from. These fragrances start from as little as £14.50 which I think is an absolute bargain especially if it makes you feel like a queen as you smell like your wearing something much more expensive.
My favourite one is 435. It’s a citrus with fruity note and smells similar to the fragrance family of Chloe Love Story. It has scents such as Bergamot, Pear, Lemon and Grapefruit with Rose, Freesia and Blackcurrant at the heart of the fragrance with base notes of Cedarwood, Moss and Musk.
Us mums do a lot! Some days we probably don’t stop from the minute we get up to the minute we go to bed. So taking that time.. even just a few minutes just to add some fragrance to your day makes things so much better.
Up until I came across Donna I was a mummy that never really bothered with fragrance its was always on the bottom of my list of priorities as I believed I could never afford it and had better things to spend my money on. Well I could have not been any more wrong. Not only is the fragrance out of this world and affordable for us mums. Donna is the kindest and most approachable lady ever. You tell her what fragrance you like or what scents you prefer and she will do her best to find the fragrance for you.
I could not recommend The fragrance mum enough, she has something for all of us.. from helping as to smell nice to helping give you inspiration in your everyday life.
Go give The Fragrance Mum a visit now and give 435 a go….you’ll love it!
