Feeling like Autumn and this year we can enjoy it

I absolutely love this time of year and am really looking forward to those cold mornings and cozy evenings….

I’m one of those people that love wrapping up to leave the house and wearing cozy pjs on an evening under a blanket and having cuddles with the babies…. ok my 9 year old. šŸ™‚

See this time last year it was cold but i could not get in to the spirt and enjoy the up comining seasons, this was all thanks to a treatment that hubby was going through…..chemotherapy….. Chemotherapy and the cold do not mix well together…we even had to make sure the house stayed warm and windows shut restricting fresh air. Chemotherapy plays with your body,, i always remember and see as clear as day the panic in my husbands face as the cold air hit his throat after his first chemo cycle causing him to believe that he could not breath and this happened indoors.

Last year hubby was going through treatment and took all precautions when he left the house…. i used to smile at him wrapped up like he was going to walk the artic and there was me in just a cardigan to leave the house. This year he can leave the house and be wrapped up if needs to be thankfully as he is in remission. šŸ™‚ there is no signs of cancer!!!! Even better as yesterday we found out his consultant does not want to see him until easter next year which is when he will have his next CT scan and blood tests.

After such a tough year and then getting amazing news yesterday I’m so looking forward to autumn and winter this year, spending time as a family and making memories with the children and even playing in the snow (if we get any) with not having to worry that hubby is getting to cold, which could bring on pain in his arms from the IV or even difficulties with his breathing. Cozy evenings and weekends with cups of hot coco or even a mulled wine and chocolate after a lovely cold walk to clear the cobwebs…….. i cant wait……

We only live once so enjoy life…..
