Feel like giving up….
Good afternoon lovely people..i hope your all enjoying the sun.
I’m sure i’m not the only one who has ever felt like they have just had enough and wanted to quit at what it was they was doing. !!!
Well i had one of these moments recently… I’m currently trying to find a job and have gone through many emotions and moods. As i’m sure your all aware if you have children, finding a job is a challenge within it self.
A few weeks ago, i applied for yet another job and was feeling really positive about it. It ticked all the boxes and would have fitted really well with the family. Time was getting on though and i had not heard anything, so hubby offered to email them on my behalf as i was busy shopping. I was annoying myself by constantly checking my emails, so later that afternoon my heart skipped a beat when i saw i had received an email. However the email did not read how i thought it would.
Being told i was unsuccessful for an interview, devastated me. This job meant a lot to me and was hard for me to apply for as it was out of my comfort zone, but as i had my degree in social care i decided it was time to use it. I emailed them asking if they could explain why and the reply i got was unlike other’s i never mentioned something in my personal statement on the application form. On finding this out, i was really hard on myself. I felt i was useless and would never find a job. I felt i had wasted 3 years of my life on my degree that nearly broke me so many times.
That night i pushed myself to go back to Zumba, something i used to love doing but had to stop due to personal reasons. I’m so glad i went, i was able to switch my mind to off and just put everything in to dancing. Which was hard going as it had been so long since i last went and it did not help the sun had been shinning all day. However i felt so much more motivated after the work out. I gave myself the kick up the back side that i needed. I’m not someone that quits, if i quit i’m showing my children thats its ok to quit, or not bother if you fail at the first hurdle. This is not how i want my children to be!! I was struggling to find a job, i’m going to continue looking for a job. However i need to do something in between, so i have decided to try harder with my blogging and trying to reach out to others that are in the same position as me. I’m going to try and get my website up dated and hopefully start selling some of my old stock to be able to get new bits in.
I’m not someone thats quit, i will get a job that fits in with the family…. My children are not going to be brought up that way.. if you want something then follow your dream, jump those hurdles and you will reach out. Sometimes yes we have hurdles and dreams may have to be adjusted, but thats life. We can still be happy and stay focused.
Sorry if the last bit seems rushed, i really want to publish this and school pick up time is fast approaching.
