Peaceful morning… Not!

Wishful thinking…. Was looking forward to just pottering around the house this morning. Leaving the kids to it and being lazy, which is nothing different on a weekend to honest.

After a lovely lay in thanks to hubby taking the youngest downstairs when he woke at an ok time for a change, 7am. Getting out of bed around 9am was lovely, even though the sound of the youngest two was starting to get loud. While i was in the shower, hubby decided he needed to pop out. Which yes this is fine, however footsteps and running had joined the the youngest two forever growing noise volume. No longer had i thought to myself, this is going to end in tears. It did, the joys of having to get out the shower covered in shampoo and dripping wet to sort out screaming kids. Its going to be a long summer at this rate!!!!! And like always, no longer had they wanted to hurt each other, they are best friends again. Took me a back a bit as for the first time ever, as i walked out the bath room i got ‘we have sorted things out’!!!

So after all this i was not best impressed to see that hubby had text to say “Lets all go to B&Q” so out the window went my peaceful morning good and proper. I did not mind the fact that he suggested going out, i actually don’t mind going there as i like looking at the plants. The part i was dreading was telling the kids, they had to get ready to go out. Youngest is not to bad, however telling the teenager’s to get dressed before 11 am / lunch time on a weekend is not a thing i appreciate doing. So we got out the house after the go slow, we have all the time in the world… Why can’t kids just get ready??? why do they have to be told more then once to put their shoes on???

Peaceful morning... Not!!!!!

So while out, surprisingly the kids all behaved. Maybe as youngest got his new head phones, may have helped. He loved listening to his music on his iPad on the way home.

So no peaceful morning, but i think it’s safe to say that i have had a peaceful afternoon instead. Even though i can hear foot steps in the office above the lounge.
