New year…. Cancer…..chemo

New year and starting it with cycle two of chemo…

We had a fab Christmas and it was so good to be able to put cancer to the back of my mind for a few days, I never thought of it once. J However Christmas is over and we are on day 2 of the New Year, wow…that went quick. New years eve was good and enjoyed by us all, however it was hard because for the past few days I have had cancer and chemo playing on my mind L so I suppose I let it get to me a bit.

New year’s eve evening we stayed home, which was nice, as hubby can get tired on an evening and even had a power nap to help him be able to make it to midnight. I could have easily fallen asleep, it was hard staying up to midnight but then I went over tired and never went to sleep until 2am.  It was a peaceful evening until the elder 3 came down stairs, however it was a lovely evening. Lots of laughing and messing around, dancing and making fools of ourselves along with a few drinks and lots of food made the evening so memorable.

The first half of this year is going to be bloody hard, with many different emotions in the air as a family, however cancer and chemo is not going to win!!!!!! We as a family will continue to beat it until the end and we will win like we have been doing, we will achieve our dreams as a family and I will achieve my dreams. Cancer and chemo has impacted us, as a family for to long, don’t get me wrong it still will for the next few months. This is a new year and a new start, we as a family are stronger and we are going to achieve our dreams, we are going to stay focussed. We are going to make the most of the good days as well as cherish them, the past few months have made me look at things in a different way. You can not predict what the future holds for you, so make the most of everyday and face it with your head held high. But never forget its ok to have a down day. xxx
